Restoring the Greenhouse
Project Update: We’re excited to share that the restoration of the greenhouse at the Historic Cary Ranch is moving along. With your support, we’ve repaired the roof and walls, applied protective paint, and finished it off with a fresh coat of green to match how it looked back in the early 1940s. There is still work to be done, so please consider donating to help us finish this restoration.

Greenhouse pre-restoration
In the early 1940’s this one room home was relocated from a homestead about 2 miles away using a two-horse team and wheels from a hay wagon. It served as a bunkhouse for ranch hands, a crafts room and had scenes in the movie Tuckers War directed by Stephen Savage.
Now, La Puerta Foundation is once again asking for your donations to preserve the greenhouse to a stable and secure building.
